The nationals of the countries listed here with a valid passport can stay for a certain period on Thai soil enjoying a visa waiver. As the name suggests, a visa waiver is a permission of tourist stay without needing a visa. We enjoy visa exemption by simply presenting his passport to the immigration authorities on arrival in Thailand.
The length of stay in which you are entitled under the visa waiver will depend on how you arrive in Thailand.
We must distinguish two cases:
-If you arrive by car:
If you arrive in Thailand by road, through an immigration post at the Thai border (eg if you come from Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar and Malaysia, train or bus) then you have the right to visa exemption for 15 days. In other words you can stay in Thailand 15 days.
If you arrive by air:
If you arrive in Thailand by air, the immigration officer at the airport arrived in Thailand will give you a visa exemption for 30 days. In other words you can stay in Thailand 30 days.
If your stay in Thailand tourist must exceed the time you can enjoy with a visa waiver (see section above), then you must get a tourist visa before arriving in Thailand.
The tourist visa has two characteristics:
Duration: is the length of stay and the tourist visa allows you to stay. This is 60 days regardless of how you arrive in Thailand (not the air or the ground).
Validity: When you get your tourist visa (single entry), you have time to use it, beyond this period, your tourist visa expires, you can no longer use. The validity of tourist visas is currently set at 3 months after graduation date. The visa is considered used and current when not buffered the immigration service on arrival in Thailand.
The single entry tourist visa
The tourist visa entitles one entry into Thailand. This means that all outputs of Thailand will end your current visa. They say sometimes a tourist visa is a single entry visa. If you wish to re-enter Thailand then you will either receive a new visa waiver, or have another visa (double entry visa for example).

Either way, always make sure that the immigration officer has seen and stamped visa. Attention, it is said in the text that the duration of your authorized stay visa or not, at the discretion of the immigration officer. This means that the immigration officer is free to choose the life they want.
It is possible to obtain a permit additional stay of 30 days on a tourist visa. We call it an extension of tourist visa. It then gives you the opportunity to rest 90 days (60 30) on the floor with a Thai tourist visa visa extension.

It's simple, a double-entry tourist visa is the same as two single tourist visa entries. Just beware of validity for not using your second entry too late. The double-entry tourist visa entitles therefore 60 + 60 = 120 days. You can also use extensions for each visa tourist visa and have therefore (60 + 30) + (60 + 30) = 180 days, or about 6 months in Thailand with one leaving the country + 2 passes to an immigration office make a visa extension.

You can also leave the country to go apply for a visa at a Thai embassy in a neighboring country to Thailand.
